The Maths specification has changed! The pages under this drop down menu you will hopefully help you prepare for the new exams.
Edexcel GCSE Mathematics 1MA1 Linear Examination (Examination Summer 2017)
2 tiers of entry still: Higher (Grades 9-4, 3 allowed) and Foundation (Grades 5-1)
Paper 1 is always the Non-Calculator: 1 Hour 30 Mins
Paper 2 is Calculator: 1 Hour 30 Mins
Paper 3 is Calculator: 1 Hour 30 Mins
Students in the higher sets (1&2) will mainly be entered for the Higher Tier, whilst those in Middle sets (3, 4, 5,& 6) will mainly be entered for Foundation tier. Teachers will enter students for the tier which gives them the best possible chance of gaining their target grade.
The amount of content is huge. Click on these links to see all the topics for higher and foundation. If you enter a 1 for the things you understand, a 2 for the things you need to go over and a 3 for things you've never heard of the sheet will colour code them for you. Save a copy, then you can revise the red and orange topics and update the sheet regularly. If it is mostly green by the summer then you're ready!
