OCR Additional Mathematics
If a student achieves a GCSE A or A* grade via an early entry in Mathematics then they study Additional Mathematics. This is harder than GCSE Higher Maths, but is excellent preparation for AS Maths. It covers many topics from Core and Applied Maths and really pushes the year 11 students. As well as making them much better Mathematicians and giving them a better understanding of the subject, this qualification also counts towards their average point score and carries UCAS points!
